Annual Events
The Easter Egg hunt is for children in preschool - 5th grade. Hunting candy-filled plastic eggs, games, and refreshments are all part of this day. Ladies' Spring Dinner A dinner for all the women and girls of the congregation and their guests is held each spring. Vacation Bible School VBS is held for one week for children in preschool - 5th grade. Our VBS director is Kristin Henninger. August - Corn Boil The Corn Boil is held each August. Beginning in 2007, it will be held in our new picnic pavilion at the church. Corn, hot dogs, and desserts are the menu with games for children preceding supper. September Rally Day Each September, a Rally Day program is held for Sunday Church School students at 9:45 am to kick off a new academic year. November - Advent Enrichment Adventure The Family Ministry Team also hosts the annual Advent Enrichment Adventure. This is an opportunity for families to make Advent crafts for their home. A finger-food supper is a staple of this event. In keeping with all the Family Ministry events, the Advent Enrichment is held on the third Friday in November. December - Christmas Program Each year, our children and youth stage a Christmas musical production held in December. Christmas Caroling One Sunday in December, everyone is invited to Christmas carol at the nursing homes in the afternoon and at the homes of our shut-ins in the evening. A homemade pizza supper is served at the church between the two sessions of caroling.
